  • Our partnership with Dr. Wood began years ago when the social-emotional effects of the pandemic were starting to present themselves.  The work Dr. Wood did with our PBIS committee, in partnership with our school psychologist, helped us create a screener that enabled us to examine the overall mental health of a portion of the students in our school.  The data motivated us to create a couple of support groups within our counseling department.  Additionally, since there was an option for students to elect to receive immediate assistance, we were able to get some students connected to various mental health services throughout the community.  Since the first trial to the most recent survey in the fall, Dr. Wood has helped us interpret the data to determine the most appropriate course of action.  As the building leader, I feel it has given us a clearer direction for supporting students in need.
